Shane went on to serve as Director of Retail Services for NAI Carolantic Realty where he won national accounts for developing Triangle locations for Lime Fresh Mexican Grill (Ruby Tuesday), City Barbeque, and Yoi Yogurt. He was also selected by the company’s NAI Global affiliate to develop a regional Cell Tower Leasing Program. Most recently, Shane was the Director of Leasing for Tricor International Corporation, responsible for the retail leasing of a shopping center portfolio of over 1 million square feet in North Carolina, West Virginia, and Georgia. He also successfully negotiated 19 leases with national retailers and franchises such as GNC, Liberty Tax, Highway 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries, and Great Clips.

Shane served as Vice President and Partner of The Mang Group of North Carolina from 1998 to 2007.  During his almost 10-year career with the company, he launched a new venture resulting in a reputable and profitable 12-employee employee benefit & business insurance advisory firm with over $1,200,000 in revenue and personally produced and managed over $500,000 in sales revenue.  He also held sales positions with both Kaiser Permanente in Raleigh, NC and Blue Cross Blue Shield in Oneonta, NY.

In 2012, Shane received the President’s Circle Award Winner where he was selected by peers of TCAR for his contributions to the improvement of business in the commercial real estate industry and our communities.  In 2006, he was selected by Right Choice Business and Triangle Business Journal as their Frontrunner Award Winner for his superior and productive business practices.  From 2001 to 2006, The Mang Group recognized Shane as a Top New Business Producer.

Shane is currently the Client Relationship Manager at Carolinas IT, a premier provider of computer networking solutions in Raleigh, NC. In this role, Shane is an ongoing support resource for CIT clients who meet with him on a regular basis to discuss their business challenges and help them evaluate appropriate technical solutions to improve productivity and profitability. He works directly with local clients to provide Managed IT Services, cloud computing solutions, network security upgrades, hardware procurement, and Audit and Compliance solutions.

Education & Community Involvement

Shane graduated with a BS in Business Economics from State University College at Oneonta, NY.  He has served as President for both Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (2011) and Tacquire (2010 & 2011).  He has also served on several committees including the Economic Development Committee for Downtown Raleigh Alliance and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Forums Committee for Urban Land Institute, and the NC Hospitality Education Foundation Fundraising Committee for the NC Restaurant & Lodging Association.  In addition, he was a long-time member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, National Association of Realtors, and Realtors Commercial Alliance.

In addition to Shane’s professional affiliations, he is also committed to his community.  He currently serves on the board and finance committee for Lucy Daniels Center which helps children with mental and emotional challenges.  He has also served as Honorary Committee Member for the American Cancer Society Fundraiser, as an Agency Management Committee Member and former Membership Chair of Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, and webmaster for Raleigh Wake Human Resource Management Association.
